So you're interested in joining Murder by the Book. First you're going to need to register a name, and wait for it to be approved. In order to be approved you'll need to email us letting us know what username you signed up with, and why you want to join the site. If you know us, this should be relatively easy. Just tell us how you know us. For those of you new to the site and unknown to us, give us a bit of an idea of why you want to join. This can be anything from loving CSI and other TV shows to adoring true crime stories/shows. Or perhaps you just want to try your hand at a new type of RP. Whatever the reason, let us know. People who join will have 2 weeks to email before their account is automatically denied/deleted. If we don't think this is the site for you we'll email you ahead of time and see if there isn't something we can work out so you -can- join.

Now, on to what this site is....

We are an ADVANCED RP where your characters will be expected to help solve crimes that have stumped the PDs of any particular city we happen to be called to. Worldwide. If you are unfamiliar with police [RL and shows] your first assignment will be to familiarize yourself with them. [Though RL is taken into consideration, the way things are handled is mostly based of off the CSI and Crossing Jordan world.]

Advanced means that each post should be AT LEAST two or more paragraphs long. This is a literate RP, which also means that spelling, grammar, and the like are VERY important.

With that said, either use this form provided, or just write including all the information that the form has to the admin email: murder.by.the.book.rpg AT gmail DOT com.

Plot

Follow a team of specialized police officers and scientists, as well as an annoying writer and cameraman, all over the world as they take on hard to solve cases. They are only called in when the local police have no other options, and they have a VERY high success rate.

Join them on missing persons cases, horrific murders that can't be solved and cold cases that must be solved to give the families a sense of closure. Led by a hardened cop who seems to hide all his emotions and lash out at the media who follow them, they don't seem like much until you watch them get to work. The best of the best, they will not stop until they have some sort of answers or have exhausted all possibilities.
